Remnants of Malaysia’s past, these heritage facades are commonly found in the old town centres of Penang and Malacca. Though clearly dilapidated, these structures are nonetheless appreciated for their strong historical, cultural and sentimental value. The artist effectively uses dull shades in this piece to illustrate how heritage buildings are slowly fading into the recesses.
