An exceptionally expressive rendering of the Bobohizan, a high priestess in the Kadazan-Dusun culture. The Bobohizan is revered in the community for her ability to maintain harmony between the living and the spirit world. In the past, each village in Sabah used to have at least one high priestess, a stark contrast with the current reality. The artist utilises vibrant hues to capture the strong spirit of the Bobohizan while attempting to pique the interest of the younger generation so as to preserve this fading aspect of Sabahan heritage.
