Tracing its origins back to the Han dynasty, shadow puppetry is a Chinese art form that is steeped in tradition. Selecting a warrior puppet as the subject matter, the artist has crafted a fairly well-executed art piece using the Chine-collé technique on woodcut, incorporating aluminium.
