Employing an innovative use of the watercolour technique, the artist has crafted a poster like composition. Translating to 'sung together', Sangeet is a joyous pre-wedding celebration originating in the Punjab region of modern day India. The Sangeet commemorates the coming together of two families in anticipation of the union of their children. A typical Sangeet would see the women of the family surrounding the bride and singing traditional wedding songs.
